Extraordinary experiences

require exceptional support

Our global network of Providers share a common passion:
supporting Experiencers through the unique turns
of their extraordinary paths.
WHAT IS OPUS?

The Organization for Paranormal Understanding and Support (OPUS) was founded in the United States in 1994 in order to educate and support people having unusual or anomalous personal experiences. Such experiences may include extraordinary states of consciousness, spiritual or parapsychological phenomenon, close encounters with non-human entities, and / or UFO/UAP activity.

Through our network, OPUS connects individuals with professionals in an array of mental and medical health fields who are willing and able to work with and/or believe in the nature of these events.

Today, after more than twenty-five years of being a centralized connector and resource, OPUS continues to offer support for experiencers, their friends and family, and professional providers, worldwide.

OPUS PROVIDER NETWORK

A COMMUNITY OF PROFESSIONALS WHO SUPPORT EXPERIENCERS

You would be joining an excellent organization that helps one educate, explore, and work through issues pertaining to paranormal events with people that are trustworthy, kind, and well trained. It is also a safe place to meet other like minded people with whom you can share your experiences, questions, and concerns.

In 1991, the Roper survey on “unusual personal experiences,” conducted by John Mack, M.D., Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard University, suggested that “hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of American men, women and children may have experienced UFO abductions, or abduction-related phenomena.”

Today, more than thirty years later, the reports of paranormal, anomalous and extraterrestrial experiences continue to proliferate around the world, especially as government bodies and institutions work to remove the stigma that has long been associated with acknowledging the reality of these events.

In this environment, we believe that the need to support Experiencers can only grow. As such, the team at OPUS works to find and screen qualified professionals and connect them to this growing group.

Additionally, OPUS works to support our professionals - by facilitating connections and developing educational opportunities - so that Providers can draw upon the resources they need in order to offer quality care in a rapidly evolving environment.

PROVIDER TESTIMONIALS

"I am happy to be a part of the OPUS Provider Network for many years now for their part in providing outreach to those who are in need of support. Over the years, OPUS has referred clients to me who are seeking answers to their partial memories since childhood of possible UFO abduction. I encourage all providers to join the OPUS Network..."

-Yvonne R. Smith, C.Ht, Yvonne Smith Hypnotherapist

"I am an experiencer and never felt safe relating my story to other people. Given I had my experience at a young age, I lived most my life without the sort of release and comfort that comes from sharing difficult stories. That all changed when in my 40s, I shared my experience with a fellow provider. It was such a relief to finally say that something happened and though I don't understand it, I want to make peace with it. That's why I want to help others. [Applying to OPUS] was a very warm and natural process. I've felt incredibly supported and professionally respected in the process. For anyone considering supporting Experiencers and joining [OPUS] it is a worthy cause and an opportunity to serve a marginalized population."

HOW IT WORKS
